Papertrey Ink February 2015 Blog Hop

Time for another Papertrey Ink Blog Hop, happening here! Nichole always has the most gorgeous inspiration photos and this month was no exception ...

So many ideas to take away from this one! In the end I was most influenced by colour and the watercolouring. I made two cards ...

I had to do a smooshing session! I love that word. It's harder than it looks because your colours can become very muddy, very quickly. I'm fairly happy with my results but I want to try much more smooshing!

I kinda like this one. I'm really into combining my Baker's Dozen and Zappy Birthday stamps on cards at the moment. I think everyone I know is going to be getting a Zappy Cupcake card this year! I have very limited supplies with me in Florida so I just did a quick Copic coloured background on this one, in the spirit of the inspiration piece.

I wanted to make so many more cards for the hop (I always like to do four or five or six!), and I had lots of ideas but I ran out of time. The weather here is just too good and too tempting! I don't know if I should post this photo, but I'm going to anyway. I feel I need to for all those suffering in most of North America in those frigid temperatures. These are the conditions that I'm having to deal with ...

Frightening, I know.

  15. Love both of your cards. You did great with smooshing. I tried to smoosh all the extras from my watercoloring, and got something very muddy, but I still might use it for something. Love the picture of you at the beach, and glad to see you are enjoying the nice weather.
