Make It With Money

Yup, I made a card with cash on it. Never would have thought of doing this in a million years, but Lexi Daly had plans for us this week over at the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge. She's showing us how to fold our cash into origami shapes and include them on our card fronts! She's also sharing two cute templates for making some wallets on her blog. Here are her projects ...

In Canada we've had plastic money since April 2013 which is pretty impossible to fold, so I went with a little rolling and came up with this birthday card ...

Very simple, didn't even want to add a sequin with that chunky bouquet happening! I think DD would love this for her birthday, especially if it included a fatter roll of 20's!

Supplies

Paper: PTI Stamper's Select White
Stamps : PTI Garden Grace, Fresh Floral Wraps
Ink: PTI Smokey Shadow, Stormy Sea, Raspberry Fizz, Amethyst Allure, Ripe Avocado; Fresh Ink Blue Sage
Dies: PTI Fresh Floral Wraps
Other: Karen Foster Scrapper's Floss (!!!!!)

  2. This is so cute, Diana!! Love the flowers coming out the top and your CAS style! I'd like to try the wallet idea for my son, sometime when I'm up to it, since I won't be folding any of our polymer money, either. Great MIM, isn't it?

  10. Awesome card! I didn't know Canada had plastic money!!!
I had trouble editing mine...photoshop blocked some of my pictures, but not all of them...
I guess they thought I was a counterfeiter!!!
Fun challenge. Remained me of Lexi's Trapper Kerper from Stamp-A-Faire!
I am sure your daughter will love it.

  17. Aren't you just the clever one, Diana? I love your floral bouquet...it's all a wrap! The white space with just the lightly inked leaves in the background and the sentiment are all you needed for this beauty.
